Cell Culture Plasticware & Glassware
Cell culture glass- and plasticware are often treated for the growth of adherent or suspension cells. The most common consumables include flasks, dishes, and plates.
Cell culture flasks allow storage and growth of a vast number of cells while protecting them from contaminants. They have a wide, angled neck for easy access and sterility is maintained with a vent or close cap.
Culture dishes can be stacked and allow easy access to your cells. They can be used unsealed or can be conveniently taped for more sensitive experiments. The most common option is round cell culture dishes, popularly known as Petri dishes.
Plates offer cell growth in smaller numbers and are ideal for performing cell-based assays. They are often made of polystyrene and contain 96 wells. However, there are many other variants, ranging from 4 wells to 1536 wells.
