Syringes are used to transfer fluid and gas in both laboratory and clinical settings. Syring types vary in automation, volumes, and injectors to match the application at hand. Syringes are usually composed of polyethylene or glass bodies with tips made of stainless steel. Chromatography (both GC and HPLC) apply syringes in their procedures.
